Sherri McGinty was instrumental in obtaining a substantial judgment against a major insurance company and its affiliates. The Texas Department of Insurance went on to impose a six-digit fine against the company that marketed and sold insurance policies in violation of state insurance rules.
All-Star Miracle Homes Raffles
All-Star Miracle Homes in Houston and Dallas were raffled off to raise $2 million for Children’s Miracle Network. The local beneficiaries were Texas Children’s Hospital and Children’s Medical Center.
Sherri McGinty was instrumental in the planning and budgeting, promotion, and management of both the Houston and Dallas give-away homes. Throughout the ten-month project, Mrs. McGinty represented RE/MAX of Texas, a major sponsor of the project along with numerous businesses and media outlets to promote the fundraiser. Celebrities including the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Mary Lou Retton appeared at special events held at the homes. Other fabulous prizes of jewelry, groceries and a road trip with the Houston Rockets were donated.

The Greater Houston Builders Association’s BEST AWARD winners were selected from entries from across the greater Houston area, and judged anonymously by a panel of national industry professionals. Winners of the Houston BEST AWARDS went on to compete for accolades from the National Association of Home Builders.
